Faster and more beautiful Rayman Legends on next-gen consoles
Increased power of new consoles has enabled the development team to make Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of addictive Rayman Legends game more impressive than they were until now, with much nicer textures without compression and without annoying loading.
1.2 million more PS4 consoles sold than Xbox One's in 2013
Microsoft recently bragged about 3 million sold copies of they latest Xbox One console in the year of 2013. As expected, we did not have to wait too long to get the answer from Sony about PlayStation 4 sales.
1 million PS4 consoles sold in 24 hours
PlayStation 4 on the U.S. market appeared this Friday, on 15th of November,and Sony over the weekend revealed that in the first 24 hours of availability has sold more than one million consoles, which is much higher than expected.
Several malfunctioning PS4 consoles reported
A small number of PlayStation 4 consoles which were sent ahead of the official launch appear to be malfunctioning, and users on forums and portals complained about the problems with HDMI ports.
No 3D Blu-ray playback on PS4
The PlayStation 4 user manual posted on the official website confirmed that Sony's new console will support playback of 3D Blu-ray discs.
Windows will support PlayStation 4 controller
In the exchange of messages with players on Twitter, president of Sony Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida confirmed that the DualShock 4 gamepad will be supported from the start in Windows, and the players will be able, without any additional drivers, to use the analog sticks.
Sony to sell the PlayStation 4 at a $60 Loss
As we wait for next-gen consoles to become available, lets not forget about the current ones. Currently this generation of consoles sold for several years now with relatively high losses that producers would make up only after every owner bought a few new games.
Sony has virtual reality PS4 add-on prepared for Tokyo Game Show
Sony has confirmed that they will introduce the VR headset that will be in a peripheral add-ons for the PlayStation 4 at the Tokyo Game Show. One of the first titles that PS4 will come with support for Sony's VR headset should be racing game Drive Club. The whole thing was supposed to be featured at the GamesCom, but Sony decided at the last moment to wait until the last this year's lgaming fair in Tokyo.
Next-gen consoles and their “issues” with external drives
Microsoft has confirmed that the upcoming Xbox One, which will appear on the market later this year, will not support the use of external drives initially, although this option is announced during the presentation of the console. MS then confirmed that the USB 3.0 ports can be used to connect an external drive that will allow players to expand the capacity of their console due to the fact that the built-in drives will not be able to change.
Play Station 4 presentation at the GameCom
A big day for all Play Station fans. Sony officially announced the release date for their new console Play Station 4, it will be available on November 15 in the US, and 14 days later in Europe. So far there are more than 1 million preorders for the console, and sales predictions are very bright for Sony.
