AMD earnings call indicates a rough 2016 ahead
AMD as a corporate entity is facing some rough times. As of their last earnings call we saw that they are still losing money and really do not have a product ready to combat this. The Rage Fury line of GPUs is doing ok in terms of sales, but as of this writing AMD has not been able to take a significant amount of market share from NVIDIA or even Intel. This is not to say that Radeon Graphics, or AMD’s APUs are bad products, it is just that they are not performing as well as the competition. In terms of the APU AMD still cannot compete with the compute power of Intel’s Core series even though the GPU side of the APU is a much better product.
Ubisoft desperately searching for someone to blame over AC Unity, but this one is all on them
It seems that Ubisoft is trying to get out from under the stigma the bad launch of Assassin’s Creed Unity. After pushing what many are calling a half-baked game, they have made a few excuses and have also promised different patches to remedy the bugs including a day one patch that really did not do much to make things better. So what is Ubisoft pointing at now to remove blame from themselves? Well some of the choices are entertaining to say the least.
AMD Posts Lackluster Q3 Results
If you were to look back over the years and pick one seriously mismanaged tech company it would probably be AMD. Even going back into the K6 days we find that AMD just did not know what it wanted to do or what direction it intended to go. The marketing message was confused both internally and to the market as a whole. This confusion hit “Office Space” like proportions in the late 90’s when it was rumored that there were more managers and project leaders than they were actual people doing the work.

Bungie even went so far as to start a beta program for PS3 owners early (today 7-17-2014).

Both Xbox One and PlayStation 4 to become even more powerful soon
Xbox One sales are hardly catching up with the PlayStation 4 and Microsoft decided to prevent that problem in two ways. The first is a new cheaper version of Xbox One, which is on sale without the Kinect camera, and other one is the optimization of software to compensate for the difference in performance.
