Apple Tries to Spin Its Way Out Of Thier Troubles...
![]() |
Apple has been having a rough time during the first few months of 2013. So far they have been taken to court over their eBook pricing efforts, their tax plans and have even had some older models of their iPhone and iPad banned from import into the US. This all happened to a company that was set to hit $1,000 a share in the latter half of 2012. Sadly for Apple many things have changed since then including their campaign to stomp out competition through the use of patents instead of innovation. Apple’s image and mythology has taken a huge blow while rival companies like Samsung, LG and even HTC and Motorola are working to push new technologies into their products (even if they might not make sense).
AMD Announces "Official" Plans to Support Android and Chrome OS on Both x86 and ARM
![]() |
The press, in general, has an exceptionally short memory and at times many technical reporters cannot put two and two together to save their lives. This appears to be the case with some of the reports on AMD’s “new” plans to enter the Android market at full speed. The problem with these reports is that they keep forgetting time-lines, history and only seem able to report what is handed to them in a briefing or press release. Some of them seem to think that AMD was struggling to get back into game consoles and that AMD’s interest in Android is something new; neither of these are true.

Jolla Pushing Out The First SailFish Cell Phone, Are They Just Looking to Get Back In With Nokia?
![]() |
If you have not heard of Jolla you are not alone and do not be too disappointed either. The company was founded by a few former Nokia employees that were not happy with the decision to tie the companies (Nokia’s) fate to Windows Phone. Instead they wanted to see if they could take the MeeGo OS and make it a reality and so they introduce SailFish. SailFish is an Android compatible OS that like many others is Linux based. The question is; is this new phone and Nokia inspired OS going to show us what could have been, or will it be just another phone in an Android Sea?
