Snapchat lately came under criticism after it was revealed that their services are not entirely what they appear. The case went before the U.S. Trade Commission, which has accused the company that messages sent via Snapchat can easily be saved even though the application claims that they are only temporary.

Snapchat is an application for Android and iOS devices that allows users to send messages and recordings with a time duration is soon going to get a new option to send instant messages (IM) and video calls.

After last week experts from Gibson Security found security holes in the application Snapchat, on the internet appeared web page under a name SnapchatDB! where there is allegedly database with usernames of Snapchat users and their associated phone numbers.

Last month, a huge public attention was drawn when a successful start-up Snapchat made a decision to refuse billions from Google and Facebook and stay, at least for now, in the hands of its founder, who are students at Stanford.

According to information from the Wall Street Journal, Snapchat once again rejected Facebook's bid. Although this time they offered three times higher price, it did not make any difference.
